Oldtown Apartment Refurbishment

2015

There was an immense strive to rescue the rundown place. The first look at the object helps to identify and outline a vision of what should be the result. However it provided a rather sad first impression. Wooden floors were rotten, the only daylight source was three windows facing a tiny courtyard and there was an uninspiring reminiscence of a fireplace. Since the living area is rather small (only 52 sq. m) and partially hidden under the stairs, a decision was made to utilize the chimney flue by erecting a separating wall between the kitchen area and bedroom. In order to leave some room for bedroom privacy and keep the light, French window doors were installed. The bathroom area is built in under the stair area, thus saving some valuable living area space. Heated solid tiled flooring visually increases spaciousness. To put it briefly, every centimeter is important and should be used to its fullest potential for a miniature classical apartment.
